Editable fields and formulas

The print area covers the receipt (columns A to D), scaled to the page width. Notes outside it, such as the discount warning, do not print.

  1. Fill in the yellow cells on the Receipt sheet.
  2. Choose File > Print and check the preview.
  3. Print, or choose Save as PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Does the file calculate totals?

Yes. Line amounts, subtotal, tax, total and change or balance due are formulas. Change a quantity, price, rate, discount or tip and the totals update.

Is it an XLS or XLSX file?

It is XLSX, the current Excel format used since Excel 2007. It is not the older .xls format. Excel, Excel for the web, LibreOffice Calc and Google Sheets (after import) open it.

How do I print just the receipt?

The print area is already set to the receipt, so File > Print prints only the receipt. Check the preview, then print or save as PDF.

Can I change the layout?

Yes. Everything can be edited. If you move rows, check that the formulas still point to the right cells before you rely on the totals.
