Frequently asked questions

How do I record a cash payment?

Enter the payer, the item and its amount, then type the cash received under Totals & payment. The receipt shows the change, or "Partial payment" and the balance due if the cash is less than the total.

Can I add zero-price items?

Yes. Enter 0.00 with a clear description, such as a waived fee. It appears on the receipt and adds nothing to the total.

What details should a cash receipt include?

Your business name, the date, a receipt number, the payer name, what the payment was for, the total, the cash received, and any change or balance.
