The rental period is the time the rent covers. The payment date is when the money was received. Both are shown separately.
Enter the rent and the amount received, and choose bank transfer, cash, cheque or another method.
If the tenant pays less than the rent, record what was received. The receipt always shows the balance due.

The rental period is the time the payment covers, for example October 1 to 31. The payment date is the day the money was received.
Yes. Enter the rent as the item and the amount actually received under payment. The receipt shows "Partial payment" and the balance due, and it cannot be hidden.
No. A private landlord can leave the business name empty and enter their name as landlord in Rent details.
No. Tax is off by default. You can turn it on in Totals & payment if it applies to you.
